‍SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (July 26, 2024) - This week, Irys had the privilege of sponsoring the Alamo AFCEA luncheon, where Brigadier General Jefferson J. O’Donnell, Commander of the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC), provided valuable insights into the current and future state of military personnel management and technology integration.

Brig. Gen. O’Donnell outlined the critical role of the AFPC in managing the lifecycle of nearly 2.3 million Airmen, Guardians, retirees, and their families. He emphasized the center's mission to ensure that the Air Force and Space Force are equipped with the right personnel to fulfill their global missions, highlighting the extensive scope of AFPC’s operations from recruitment to retirement.

During the luncheon, Beto Altamirano, Irys CEO, engaged Brig. Gen. O’Donnell in a discussion about the government's role in adopting AI technologies more proactively. Brig. Gen. O’Donnell's insights highlighted the ongoing efforts and the importance of maintaining an open dialogue with industry partners. This discussion underscored the Air Force's commitment to integrating new technologies, including AI, to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
